OSYRIS stands for Open SYstem for Road Information Support. Its objective is to provide the right infrastructure to ensure a continuous flow of information between the different processes and actors involved in the road life cycle. The OSYRIS is planned as an open, extendable system, built around a hierarchy of components, capable of:
- collecting the relevant as-built data for better, certified quality on the worksite and easier maintenance
- managing and providing data to improve execution of the construction and maintenance work
- giving access to a permanent database for further analyses: quality control, cost analysis, planning of maintenance and recycling
